Senior Inspirations
Senior sessions can be anything and anywhere you feel inspired to go! Sometimes they are about something you feel passionate about, like Brooke who wanted to be showcase her love of art, fashion and the outdoors, or Carson who has been playing tennis since he was 5 years old, or Ryan who is an avid musician. Sometimes we’re celebrating a memorable place, like Libby who has spent many weekends with her family exploring Eldorado Canyon State Park, or Renee and Kale who wanted to commemorate Boulder’s iconic Chautauqua Park before moving away from home. Sometimes the session is more artistic and fashion-oriented with more posing and direction, and sometimes it’s more of an intimate portrait. Sometimes the sessions are longer with multiple locations and clothing changes, and sometimes they’re simple portraits.
Regarding wardrobe, my recommendations are generally to stay away from black and white as your primary colors, and also avoid bold patterns or prints. Keep in mind that we’re not photographing clothes, we’re photographing you, so the clothes should not overpower the photos.
Use these inspirations to help you think of your own preferences, personality and style. No need to design the session or posing, I’ll help with all of the details. Take your time deciding. These photos will live on for years, so be sure that the vision and styling feel authentic to you!
