Hawaiian Themed Bat Mitzvah

I totally adore this family! The parents are fun and obviously very much in love, the kids are sweet and genuine, and their friends are just like the hilarious New Yorkers I’ve been friends with all of my life. In fact, it turns out that we all went to college on the east coast together at Lehigh! They did an amazing job with their daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, with an unbelievably cool surfing theme. Apparently this 13-year-old is a great surfer! Which is crazy because we don’t have an ocean, and even crazier because surfing is HARD! She must be a natural to be so good at such a young age with only being able to visit an ocean. I hope she had a great day celebrating such an important transition in her life, and I’m pretty sure every single person at this Bat Mitzvah enjoyed celebrating right along with her.
