There is a long story (going back many more years than I’d like to admit) behind meeting Brooke for her senior portrait. Her mom and I were friends in elementary school, her cousin and I were friends in high school, and her little sisters were in summer camp where I was a camp counselor for several years. And this was all back in a little town in upstate New York. Fast forward a lot of years, and my dear childhood friend has a beautiful daughter graduating high school in Colorado Springs. In one session, it was very clear this young woman is smart, self-confident, creative, fun, funny and mature. It was a great pleasure meeting her and photographing her, and I sincerely can’t wait to see what she has in store in her life.
